Chocolate Stir Spoons

What’s more festive during the holidays then a nice warm cup of cocoa?  And what better to stir your chocolate with then…. well… chocolate!!  These spoons just take a cup of hot chocolate to the next level.  The best part about them is the fact that you can eat the rest of it once you’re done stirring!  Win!  Oh yeah, and they are crazy easy to make.

Here is a quick supply list of items you will need.  I used this adorable Wilton brand silicon spoon mold, Wilton brand chocolate melts, and crushed candy canes.  Let’s get started!

First, melt the chocolate according to the package directions.

Next, spoon the melted chocolate into a piping bag.  If you’re like me, you don’t ever have those on hand… So in that case, just use a baggie with the corner snipped off.  Easy!

Once you have the chocolate spooned into the bags, pipe it into the spoon mold.  Make sure not to add to much because when you shake it to spread the chocolate, it will fill in really nicely.  Chill the filled mold for 10-15 minutes.

When the spoons have hardened, carefully remove them from the mold.  You can either stop at this step, or dip the ends of the spoons in chocolate and add some yummy garnishes!  Like the crushed candy canes!  The sky is the limit here.  And you can find all kinds of different colors of chocolate melts.  So just have fun with it!
